The Yew Harvest
From June each year
Yew harvesting takes place annually from June to September and we collect on a daily basis during this period. We collect daily as the Yew clippings need to be as fresh as possible to prevent deterioration of the active compound.
We supply bags for the clippings and we can make multiple collections if you are cutting over a number of days/weeks. Yew clippings are paid for by the kilo and prices vary, depending on the quantity supplied and your geographical location. We do offer a 'bagging' service if you are unable to bag the Yew clippings yourself but please contact us for further details about this.
Payments we make for the clippings are quite often used as charitable donations by the garden owners and we can also donate unwanted payments to CLIC Sargent on your behalf.
We are also able to recommend specialist Yew hedge cutting contractors if you are looking for someone to cut your hedges - they have been cutting Yew hedges for many years and are also a good source of advice for any Yew hedge problems you may have. Please contact us if you have any questions at all and we will be happy to help in any way we can.
